Emergency Medical Services are now handled through the County.

The Gloucester County Emergency Medical Service is the first county based EMS in the state of New Jersey, established September 30, 2007. We are a dedicated organization comprised of professionals with the highest standards for quality and excellence. We are committed to providing dependable, professional emergency medical service to all residents and visitors of Gloucester County.

We currently have a fleet of 23 ambulances and multiple support vehicles. We have 170 dedicated staff members responding from eleven EMS stations. Our twelve crews operate on a 24 hour 7 days a week basis with one power shift ,0800-2100 hours.
